Why the ABR2 Project Is Needed

Dublin Port is Ireland’s busiest port and a key national infrastructure asset.

The ABR2 Project will:
• Complete the deepening of berths and Alexandra Basin to -10m Chart Datum
• Resolve legacy contaminated sediment issues
• Optimise existing port lands
• Support long-term operational efficiency
• Enable delivery of the Unified Ferry Terminal
• Raise the height of the unified passenger area to adapt for future climate changes

The project remains fully within Dublin Port’s existing brownfield lands. There will be no further infilling of the Tolka Estuary.
